The Executive Committee of Save Our Orchestra Now (S.O.O.N), has announced that at a general meeting of S.O.O.N. on April 24, 2010, the membership accepted a recommendation of the Executive Committee that S.O.O.N. disband. In the 9 months of its existence it has accomplished all of the goals it set forth for itself in July of 2009.
The Committee is asking everyone in the Festival community to come together in focusing their energies and resources on working towards making the 2010 Festival Season a resounding success.
For six weeks, beginning in early July, the New Hampshire Music Festival concerts will be performed by world class musicians who come together every summer to play for us after spending their winters playing in orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Metropolitan Opera. L'Orchestra National de Toulouse, Dallas Opera, Columbus Symphony, Alabama Symphony, Sarasota Opera, Portland Symphony and the Rhode Island Philharmonic.
The 2010 Season will see some of the world's most beautiful music played by our beloved New Hampshire Music Festival Orchestra.
If you have not yet re-ordered your tickets for this season, do not wait any longer.
If you have never attended a concert of the New Hampshire Music Festival, check out the program at NHMF.org. Send in your ticket order right away.
If you have been delaying your usual contribution to the Annual Fund, please make your contribution now and even consider increasing your donation over prior years.
If you are a major benefactor whose generosity in prior years helped to assure the Festival's financial stability, please renew your pledge or contribution now.
Come join us in the Hanaway Theater, at the Silver Center for the Arts of Plymouth State University, for an experience that no CD or MP3 download can ever provide.
Please accept our heartfelt thank you to everyone who
has helped and supported us in this successful effort.
We look forward to seeing you at the Hanaway Theater this season.
